SEXUALITÉ ET HANDICAPS
La Société Francophone
d'Études et de Recherche sur les Handicaps de l'Enfance
(S.F.E.R.H.E.) a organisé en mai 2008 un congrès portant
sur le thème de la sexualité et du handicap. Le livre des

Auteures: Sylvie Tétreault, Monique Carrière (toutes deux
Ph.D., erg. et chercheures), avec la collaboration de Véronique
Parent (D. Psy., cand.), et autres. Coût: 15$
Les adolescents ayant une incapacité motrice et les membres de
leur famille se disent mal préparés pour s'orienter et
assumer les nouvelles responsabilités liées à
cette étape de transition vers l'âge adulte. Pour leur
part, les intervenants expriment vouloir plus d'informations sur
différents thèmes tels que les relations
interpersonnelles ou amoureuses et la sexualité pour être
en mesure d'aborder davantage ces enjeux avec leur clientèle. Le
guide est une source d'information et de référence pour
les parents. Il propose en outre des pistes d'intervention aux
intervenants en réadaptation, afin de favoriser la participation
sociale des adolescents et de leur famille. Le DVD réunit les
témoignages de parents d'adolescents ayant une incapacité
motrice et d'intervenants en réadaptation. Ces outils
fournissent des éléments pour stimuler la discussion,
amorcer la réflexion et percevoir le futur avec optimiste. Il
importe de croire en l'individu et en sa capacité de se
renouveler.

REGROUPEMENT
PROVINCIAL DES INTERVENANTS EN DMC
Ce regroupement a récemment publié un document dans
lequel les outils d'évaluation utilisés en
ergothérapie avec la clientèle DMC sont décrits et
listés. Ce document est disponible sur le site web du CPC dans
la rubrique Regroupement des

FRANCOPHONE D'ÉTUDES ET DE RECHERCHE SUR LES HANDICAPS DE
L'ENFANCE (S.F.E.R.H.E.)
La S.F.E.R.H.E. a vu le jour au Congrès de Dijon en mai 2007.
Elle reflète l'évolution d'un groupe de médecins,
qui est passé en quelques années du CMNETIMOC
(Comité Médical National d'Études et de Traitement
de l'Infirmité d'Origine Cérébrale) au GERIMOC
(Groupe d'Études et de Recherche sur l'Infirmité Motrice
d'Origine Cérébrale) puis à la SFERHE. Ce
cheminement témoigne des nouvelles préoccupations de ses
membres et de leur volonté d'ouvrir progressivement leur
réflexion aux grandes questions d'actualité: nouvelles
technologies, évaluation des pratiques professionnelles,
éthique, projet individuel de vie et d'associer à cette
réflexion tous les acteurs professionnels de la
rééducation et l'ensemble des pays francophones.
